A few days ago we visited the Waterbom Waterpark which is located in the center of Kuta near Kuta Beach. We went by scooter and from our Villa in Jimbaran it takes about 20 to 30 minutes. We had breakfast in a little restaurant next to our villa where we go nearly every day because it’s delicious there. The owners are a Balinese couple who are really lovely and we have lots of fun with them. I like the Special Breakfast, you get a huge fruit salad, scrambled egg, fresh bread, beans, grilled onion, bacon and tomatoes and a balinese coffee. The perfect start in a day. It is also the perfect meal if you are hungover, afterwards I always feel much better! I tell you that because we thought eating in the Waterbom Park would be quite expensive and that is definitely right. Better bring something with you, the only thing we ate there was corn, the rest is just to expensive. The ticket prices are also expensive but we booked our tickets with auslandssemester-bali.org. As a student you have to pay 210.000 Rph. (13 €) which is okay compared to the original prices for adults (33$). The park itself contains 12 different water slides, the so called waterblaster where you can shoot each other with waterbombs (we tried it but it’s more interesting for kids :-P) and Euro-Bungy. We tried every slide and I liked the fastest one most. It is called Climax. You have to enter a little chamber with a trap door below you and after the countdown the trap door opens and you nearly fall down vertically which is a weightless feeling. If you go there just try all of them. There are some other offers like Spa and some beauty stuff but I can’t tell you something about it I am not into that ;). We also played water-volleyball against some guys from Chile which was great fun and we were pretty good. All in all it was a fun day but I won’t go there again. I would say one visit is enough.
