Today I went to the Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I Khusus Ngurah Rai (immigration office) to extend my visa on arrival. It’s just a ten minute drive from the univeristy. The visa on arrival is valid for one month and you have the option to extend it for one more month once. If you are doing this, you need to go to the immigration office 10 till 14 days before the visa is running out. The first thing i had to do, was to assign a number. After that i got a red folder, where i had to fill out a form and put in a copy of my visa on arrival, my passport and my return flight. Then i had to wait for about 20-30 minutes to go to the counter and to deliver the red folder and my passport. After that i had to wait for another ten minutes to find out that i can pick up my passport with the extended visa one week later. In the evening i went with some friends to the Pura Tanah Lot in Tabanan, which is 30 minutes away from Kerobokan. It’s one of the most famous and holy temple in Bali. Because of that it’s of course very touristy with a lot of shops, restaurants and warungs on the way to the temple. The entrance fee was 30K rupiah per person. Most of the people go there to see the sunset. The tanah lot is located on a rock in the sea very near the coast. If you want to go there without becoming wet, you need to go there in ebb. It’s not possible to go into the temple, cause it is reserved to the donors. We have noticed, that the temple did not get as much attention as the sunset. Everybody was looking to the sea and the waves waiting for the sunset and taking a lot of pictures. The sunset was so beautiful and it is worth going there to see it!!!!
