On Sunday morning we went to Nusa Lembongan by speedboat. After 15 minutes the waves were very very high and the boat moved from one side to another. But fortunately we arrived after 15 further minutes. Then an off-road-car picked us up to bring us to Dreambeach. As my mate has already been there, we decided to take the bungalows for two nights there. The streets, if you can already call them streets, are worse than those on Bali. There are so many potholes that you cannot even count them anymore. That is why everyone cannot drive faster than 20 km/h and goes without helmets. Still, the traffic is worse on Bali than on Nusa Lembongan. However, we took a family bungalow at Dreambeach Bungalow Huts with four girls and each of us had to pay 750.000 Rupiah for two nights. The view above the sea was stunning and really worth the money paid. The sea was a little rough but it was amazing to watch the blue waves striking against the beach. We liked the fact that there are 2 infinity pools at Dreambeach Bungalow Huts. We relaxed in the pools and got tanned in the beautiful sun the whole day.
The next morning we were served breakfast with scrambled eggs and toast which unfortunately tasted like the German Brandt Zwieback. However, it was included. With enough power we had to cross a hanging wooden bridge in order to get to the other island – called Nusa Ceningan. Crossing that bridge is not for the faint-hearted as some wooden boards were missing on the ground. The way was very narrow and my friend and me had to find the balance with the scooter. After 10 more minutes driving around and sometimes above potholes we arrived in a hotel called “The Palms”. We relaxed in very comfortable chairs with fresh juices and a view on the waves. Finally we had a very beautiful last day there and enough power to go back – first back across the hanging bridge and then back to the busy Bali.
Hope you had a good start in university again!
