last week I had no time left to tell you something about the temple I visited, because I had to go to an awesome (!) pool party.
The temple is called Tirta Empul and is located about 15 km in the north-east of Ubud in the center of Bali. The temple is popular for its holy spring waters. Local Hindus go there to pray and for ritual washing. They believe in the healing power and spiritual merit. It was really fascinating that you as a visitor can watch them actively praying in the waters in that atmosphere. I think if you’re interested in culture you have to visit this temple, I heard of some of my friends that this temple is different to most other temples because of the holy waters and the fact that you can watch the believers doing their ceremonies. There was also a pool with lots of algae in it and some mysterious gas coming from the soil. It looked really spooky in that atmosphere. I still don’t know what it was, so if you go there and find out, please tell me 😉
Today I had a quite long day at university (15.15 !) and afterwards I went to a warung 5 minutes from the campus. Really good price and very delicious. You can find it down the street to the cross-way, left and about 200 m on the left-hand side. Many students go there for having lunch so I’m not the only one who likes it there =)
Now I am lying on our balkony and waiting for tonight when we go having party in Kuta, one of the goBali students has his first gig there and it’s going to be great !
See you next week,
