I will introduce some local balinese and indoensian people to you, cause culture was one of the reasons i choosed GoBali!
And as my passion is music, i try to connect you with every song that is playing in the moments, i experience.

We are very lucky to have some locals around us, so they always keep us in touch with cool people!
One of them, i call him sweet and cheap, is Freppo. He is working as a beach boy, selling anything like drinks, loungers, body boards, surving boards and stuff.
We call that place „jaya office,“ cause jaya (you will know him later) is living with us and visits Freppo quite often.
Freppo is 24, goes once a year back home to java for ramazan and told me a bit about his life over here.
Back home in Java, he used to have 3 jobs during school. Or let’s call it, he did 3 different things to earn money.
The first thing which came in my mind was „how the hell u got sleep?“,and he told me he only slept on the scooty. I presume he was taken by somebody at that time.
Every afternoon at around 2am he left his school to go to prepare motors, at the weekend his job was a waitress. But late at evening, he and some friends went for car races. Those stuff is illegal in Indonesia, but sells well if youre going to win! I was little shocked that he told, at his last race, two busses of polis arrived and his friend went straight to jail. He flew and came to Bali. As a german, i was surely concerned about their security and not pretty amazed, that on all those races they didn’t wear helmets nor propper shoes. Jesus!
“Life in bali is very easy. I can earn more money with just one job!”
That story reminded me of 2Fast & 2Furious and he did laugh on that. “Yeah, that’s true!”
It was a nice chat and very interesting to see how u become a beach boy in Bali. We kept on playing Domino, where most of the time i had to hang an empty
bottle on my ear, cause i got loosen all the time. In the end i ordered my favourite drink “TehBotol” from where Freppo got his nickname “sweet and cheap.”
When we met him first, he told my friend that this drink is sweet like indonesian boys and i added “cheap aswell!” 😉
