after a short day at university I drove to an Official Surfer Outlet store on the sunset road. I like the clothes there and the prices are quite cheap. For a shirt you have to pay round about 120.000 Rupiah (7,50 €). Of course you can’t compare that to the little shops in Kuta where you can get a tank top for 20.000 Rupiah but you get good quality and a great variety.
After shopping I drove to the Dreamland Beach near our villa at home. The waves were quite powerful today, it was great fun to go body boarding. At some days the waves at Dreamland can get easily 3m high and you can get crushed to the ground and slide over the beach and maybe lose your orientation. It may sound horrible but it’s really awesome!! 😉 We also tried surfing at the Dreamland Beach today for the first time. I have to admit that at the beginning I was quite skeptical about it because I’m still bad at surfing and the waves were high today, but after half an our I was able to surf two or three waves and for me that was a great success. It’s hard to keep trying and trying because surfing is harder than you may think, but when you’re in the wave it is such a great feeling and it’s totally worth it.
After the exhausting day in the sea we ate in a nice little restaurant which is called „PitStop“ and I chose a sub called Chicken Parmesan. The Enchiladas are also very tasty ! I love it and when you go there try it! You won’t be disappointed!
My uncle is here for a visit and I’ll show him the Gilis tomorrow. It’s my second time there and I’ll definitely tell you about it in my next post.
See you next time,
