Last weekend we wanted to see a wild side of Bali in Uluwatu. So we drove to the famous surf club “single fin”, which is a unique place situated on the edge of the cliff coast around 80m above the sea. The view from this cosy bar, with its many terraces, is just amazing and as we sat down to have some cold beers in the dusk, some brave guys entered the sea below us at the beachside.
Uluwatu is world famous for the huge waves and pro surfers that train here – so there`s always a possibility for you to see some big-wave-action going on in the water.
As the sun was slowly going down we were getting hungry and ordered some mie (noodles) and nasi (rice) in a restaurant near the bar. The food was served quickly and tasted very good. After we finished our dinner we strolled through the surf shop that also is a part of the single fin club. There you can find anything you need for surfing: boards, fins, leashes, shorts, wax,….
It´s a really nice store with a huge offer – so you`ll definitely find something fitting.
Now it was time for party! We headed over to the first floor of the club. There we enjoyed some more beers and cocktails and listened to a local DJ. Then we went down the stairs to listen to a rock band performing live on stage. After that we relaxed a little bit and listened to some house beats on another floor of the complex . So there was music for every taste and it is definitely a special atmosphere to party “on the rocks”.
If you´re interested in going to single fin now you can check their events on facebook- in my opinion Sunday is the best day to visit this place because of the live music – but you can also enjoy this place any other time.
