This is my last post from Thailand. Two days ago we were still in Koh Samui. I would like to share my impressions with you from our awesome day. We rent a scooter from our hotel. Although the travel guides claim that driving scooter in Thailand would be dangerous, I can now claim that driving scooter on Bali is certainly more dangerous. The streets on Koh Samui were adorably empty and there were only few cars and scooters. However, we then went to Koh Samui’s Buddha. It is golden and shines very beautiful in the sun. As usual, you could buy many souvenirs in the small shops. After the seeing the Buddha, we had enough power to take a photo with a tiger. When entering the room with the tiger, we had that moment that we will never forget. The tiger looked at us with his strong eyes, it was incredible! The guide told us that the tiger was only 1 year old and then gave us his hand in order to follow him behind the tiger. The tiger, named Tanny, was grunting very loud. Still, I sat behind him and just thought of smiling when touching him. I could feel his breath and it was an indescribable feeling to sit behind a real tiger. For sure we took a photo with Father Smurf and tiger, too.
Then we drove to a snake farm. There the trainer of the snakes gave us a private cobra show – private as we were the only two guests. In the beginning he took around 10 scorpions out of a box and put them on his arm. Their tail moved from side to side and it seemed as if they were nervous. But to top it, he even put them in his face. It must have been impossible for him to breathe! He also gave us the possibility to do the same. Thank you. But definitely no thank you!! Then he told us that he was bidden 387 times by a snake. That is why he cut himself two fingers. Otherwise he would have been dead after the two bites. He then had 20 minutes time after the bite to cut them. That really was a stunning day!
