Today Jasmin and i went to Carrefour on sunset road to buy new mobile phones, because both of our phones were stolen. Mine was stolen in Kuta on legian street, where all the clubs and bars are. And also 300000 rupiah, all the money i had with me this night. Jasmins mobile phone and her money were stolen in Kuta, too. Not on legian street, but on the beach. What have we learnt from it? Take care of your things, especially in touristy areas and at night, when you are going out for party. Many people told us, that actually not the balinese people are stealing things from tourists, ’cause it doesn’t fit to their culture. But mostly there are residents from Java, who came here to find a job.
Besides buying new mobile phones, we found cheap backpackers for 600000 Rupiah (37,50 Euro) each for our trip in our break to Australia. In comparison to Germany, where you have to pay for that kind of backpack at least 80 Euro. There is also not a big difference from the ones of well-known trademarks in Germany.
After that, we went to suluban beach, which is at the Bukit Peninsula next to uluwatu temple. Thats why it is also called uluwatu beach. It is well known for its world-class thrilling waves and the beautiful scenery and secluded bay. It is such a peaceful place, where you can watch all the surfers on their surfboards, go into water or get some food or have some drinks in one of the bars and restaurants, which were built into the rocks over six floors and where you can also watch the surfers or the sunset. But if you want to go there, you first have to go up a lot of steep steps. But it is worth it! This beach is so different in comparison to all the other beaches in bali. We went into a bar to watch the sunset. From time to time more and more people came there waiting for the sunset.
