This weekend we went on a short holiday in Singapur. First we arrived in our hostel, which was close to Little India. So this was our first stop here. We felt a little bit like being in India, even if we have never yet been there. But everywhere were small shops with Saris and other indian clothes and items. And of course indian people and we had the feeling that they were lookind at us. After Little India, we went to famous Orchard road with its many shopping malls. There are more than 20 shopping centers and first we didn’t know which one to begin with. Fortunately not everyone corresponded our tastes. Some where to expensive with brand shops like Gucci or Escada and other shops looked to much like jumble shops. But that was actually good for our moneybag. Afterwards we went to Marina Bay Sands Hotel with its famous infinity pool. We went to the observation deck, took some photos of Singapores skyline and then tried to get in to the infinity pool area. But regrettably the security didn’t let us in and we could not creeped in. We tried it for so long till one of the security guys got very angry and we were being threatended with police. We left very frustrated. But tomorrow we will try again. Next we went to Gardens by the Bay, which is close to Marina Bay Sands Hotel. There you can have a view of the Supertrees, Marina Bay Sands and the some part of the skyline. Last but not least we went to Boat Quay, which is next to Singapore River, walked around and then went to Merlion Park, the symbol of Singapore. This was quite an exhausting day with a lot of new expressions of south-east Asia. That far we like Singapore a lot and suggest to everone to go there for a few days.
