Asia is called the shopping paradise. On an Island like Bali, which is so heavily influenced by tourism, is a good place to either find traditional clothing or western clothing. The first place I went to check out was Kuta. Kuta is the gathering point for all tourists, so I was excited to find new stuff. The Legian street is the main street in Kuta. Many little shops and stands are here. I was really suprised how about all these surfshops. I never heard of brands like „Ricpcurl“ or „Quiksilver“. But when I checked out these surfer stores I was immidiately really impressed. The stores are huge and you have so many different styles. I bought myself some new swimshorts. The prices were quite similar to the ones in Germany so there was no big difference. By checking out the stands on the sidewalks, I realized one fact: They sell more or less the same stuff. Usually lighters, Bintang speakers, Jerseys and stuff like that. This was quite frustrating for me because I really expected more. You can go to nightmarkets and get cheap clothes for sure, but the quality is horrible. I went to the surf outlets at the Sunset Road. These outlets were really good. You can find good deals since everything is on sale. They sold for example Nike Free shoes for half of the price in Germany. I was so unlucky because they didn’t have my size 🙁 But I will check it out again. Hopefully I can find a lot more treasures.
