Selamat siang, Sanur!
After a nice Easter breakfast in the Warung Pantai at the beach, we started our trip to Sanur. It took us around one hour to go there. We bought our second sarong in a small shop and then went to the beach. The sand was fortunately white and the water crystal-blue. Standing near the restaurants, you receive a beautiful view through the palm leaves. Besides you can see little colourful boats in red, yellow and blue. The wind is very refreshing. Walking along the white sand barefoot is very relaxing. Laying on one of the chairs and burning in the sun, you can see Nusa Lembongan far away. On the right, there is the Harbour and JimbaranBay. For lunch we had a very cheap sandwich with two smoothies for 30.000 Rupiah. At around 4 o’clock the sky became darker and darker. It looked really dangerous as the sea was rough, too, then. We started driving when we felt the first rain drops on our skin. Fortunately we were faster than the dark clouds. We arrived just on time before the rain started.
In the evening we went to the Bening Spa on the Jalan Batubelig. There is a traditional Balinese massage for only 50.000 Rupiah per hour (3 Euro). Although the spa looked small from outside, it is actually huge in the back. Before entering the massage room, our feet were washed by two friendly women. The balinese massage was very relaxing as there was a tasty smell of jasmine.
At around 9 o’clock in the evening we went to the Italian restaurant “Ultimo” in Seminyak. This is the village where heels are high and life is good. A free soft-drink as well as free bread was offered to us. We took Bruscetta as an appetizer – how huge it was! – and pasta with vegetables and cream. There was a fresh red rose on the table and a candle. So we had a candle-light-dinner for 100.000 Rupiah. Selamat makan!
