Hey guys!
Hope you all mastered the bahasa exams 😉 Yesterday my bestfriend and me visited many interesting places. Although our driver did not want to drive to the Besakih temple with us, we convinced him to go there with us. Fortunately the entry was only 15.000 Rupiah and the obligatory guide cost 50.000 per person. The temple is very huge and offers amazing things to know. We had the best experience with Hinduism when we were invited to be part of a ceremony. Everyone received her own small offering basket with flowers, rice and a cake on it. Then we sat down on our knees on the stones which were too hard. The prayer in his white sarong bagan singing with a dark voice and in Indonesian, we guess. After that prayer he put too many drops of hot water on our head. In the following we were said to drink it. Well, it tasted like normal water. All things considered it was a strange, but special feeling to be invited to that kind of ceremony. After the Besakih temple it took us around 2 and a half hours to go to Ubud’s riceterraces. They are very huge and beautiful. For sure we bought a typical rice hat and took some funny fotos with it. On the opposite of the riceterraces we entered a coffee plantation. Unfortunately, the Luwaks were behind fences.Still, it was interesting to taste many different kinds of coffee, as for example some with vanilla or caramel flavour.
I wish you a nice week!
