Welcome back! 🙂
Another week, another adventure. This week was pretty fun, I went to two poolparties, Ubud, Kuta and Seminyak. The week started with university and a little bit of shopping in Seminyak, always bargain, because most of the stores try to rip you off. The way to university was crazy, because there was a big fire on the main road to university, almost everyone got to university late caused by the major traffic.
The first poolparty was on friday, just some guys from GoBali invited everyone to their Villa in Kerobokan. The other one was on Saturday, organized by students who spent their semester abroad in Bali this summer and stayed for some time longer. It was in Kuta in a location called “Pro Surf – Beach Lounge”. Pretty nice place with 2 dancefloors, a big pool and 3 levels.
On the weekends we usually go to a breakfast buffet down the street. It is a polnish bakery called “Casa d´Angelos” and for only 70k Ruphia you get as much food as you want. Especially having some european bread is nice sometimes.
Sunday we just spent hanging out with friends at our pool and relax.
On monday two of my roommates and I went to Kuta Beach to watch the sunset. It is really nice and I can only recommend watching the sunsets.
We usually take a taxi, cause for girls it is not that safe to drive scooter when it is dark. First we had a strange taxidriver and after only a couple of minutes we decieded to get out and get in a new taxi. Always trust your instincts, cause all three of us felt bad driving with him, that is why we got out. A friend of mine had an unpleasent encounter on the weekend with a taxidriver and after hearing his story we were better safe than sorry.
Tuesday I went to Ubud to see the monkeys in the Monkey Forest. It was so much fun! Be careful, the monkeys tend to steal everything! We were not even in the forest as the first one stole a whole box full of nuts from my roommate, especially food attracts them. You can buy bananas to feed them or that they climb on your shoulders for pictures. I would recommend to go in the morning, because at noon all the tourist busses arrive and the forest is really crowded.
