When you come to Bali, you just want to see everything. So me and my housemates planned a trip to Nusa Lembongan. Nusa Lembongan is an island located south east of Bali. We packed our bags and had a shuttle service which drove us to our speedboat. I was really curious how driving on a speedboat felt like. As the boat started slowly I was really fine with it, but when they boosted the speed I was really shocked. You just bump on the sea. I got a little seasick to be honest.
Arriving at Nusa in the middle of day was really hard, since the sun was at the highest point. The locals immidiately came to us offering acommodation or transport. Very predictable again ;). We found a Bungalow and ordered motorbikes. You really need them! The only annoying thing were the streets. I’ve never seen worse streets in my whole entire life. Slowly we found our way to the mangrove forrest of Nusa. Really beautiful. We also got a great offer for snorkling. A boat drove us through the forrest, out to the open sea. It was a breathtaking experience swimming around exotic fish and corals. The asian tourist where also a big higlight for me. They put on astronaut suits and walked at the sea ground. I was literally bursted into laughing.
We also went to Nusa Ceningan, which is a smaller island connected to Lembongan by a bridge. Something I really enjoyed at this trip was the absence of massive traffic and tourists. Nusa Lembongan is place where you can escape the crowds.
