Hey there! 🙂 Today and tomorrow you will be hearing from both Helen and Kristin. We experienced some little adventures together during the last weekend. As you know, the weekend has two days.. Guess what?! We have four! 😀
We have our own little buket list and one of our Top10 was the well-known Monkey Forest in Ubud about one hour away from Seminyak, where we live. It is known as the cultural and spiritual center of Bali. So this is all about our few hours with a cheeky bunch of always hungry little monkeys.
First of all, there are some rules we experienced that some people have problems reading them and following them. Screaming at the monkeys full of panic and running away from them with a bunch of yellow bananas – WRONG!:D
To be honest, it was a bit funny watching the poor lady running away full of frustration, but just to let you know – nothing to recommend. Stay calm, give them any banana they want, do not scream at them and you will have nothing to worry about.
To take memorable photos, we were told to hold up the bananas just above our head, so that they climb up your leg and run up your arm. Never thought that they could be so cuddly. 🙂
As watching all the monkeys eat tons of bananas all day, we could not help ourselves but also find something to eat. Just some steps away from the forest we found a wonderful warung called “Tropical View” with a beautiful view on paddy fields followed by meditating music and cheap but very good food.
Tomorrow you will hear about number two of our buket list adventures – our trip to Nusa Lembongan, which didn’t leave us without new expierences, impressions and mindblowing scenes and pictures. Do look forward to it!
Double Goodbye from both of us, Helen & Kristin 🙂
