One of the big tourist attractions on Bali is Uluwatu. The Uluwatu temple is not far away from our Campus, which gives the opportunity to get there without a lot of stress. The Uluwatu temple lies on a cliff directly at the sea. It is a widespread construction with a lot of space to visit. But the number one attraction at this site is the number of monkeys running around everywhere. Hundreds of tourists are getting there with busses in order to buy a lot of food and feed the monkeys. If you feed the monkeys, they will sit on your shoulder, which is THE thing for especially Chinese tourists.
Another great attraction especially for Asian tourists are European people. Whenever we were crossing an Asian group, they wanted to take pictures with us, which was fun the first three pictures, but after a while this got kind of annoying.
Of course the little monkeys are totally cute, but the thing that was more interesting for me, was the beautiful sunset. The temple is located high on the cliffs, which gives the opportunity to see a lot of things and to see all the surfers on the sea. At this spot only experienced surfers are surfing, so it is possible to see a lot of cool moves with the sunset as background. This was totally awesome! I can definitely recommend to go there sometime because there is a lot to see. But try to do it at times, where the traffic isn’t that crouded and where the tourists are somewhere else.
