Hey guys! This week my friends and I moved to a villa in Jimbaran which is a great improvement because last month each of us had a small apartment and there was no such thing as a common room or a swimming pool. In our villa now we have both.
When we were planning to go to Bali we first didn’t want to go to Jimbaran because most of the clubs, shops and bars are either in Seminyak or in Kuta. That’s why our former apartments where located perfectly – it took us ten minutes to Kuta beach and 15 to 20 minutes to uni.
But even though the distance to all the parties is now much longer our new home has an essential advantage: we are very close to all the pretty beaches in the South of Bali.
We’ve already been to Balangan, Dreamland and Karma Beach and we were really amazed. In comparison to these three Double Six and Kuta beach are extremely ugly and crowded.
Another pro is the traffic: here in Jimbaran most of the streets are nearly empty. Yesterday we accidentally rode to the temple in Uluwatu with at the most 15 other scooters and cars crossing our way. So riding a scooter is pretty fun down here.
The only disadvantage are the few shops. There are some really pretty little shops nearby, but there are not many of them. So if we want to go for a shopping trip we will have to go to Seminyak which will take us a while. But hey, that way we’re going to save loads of money!
As you can see Jimbaran really isn’t that bad 🙂
