Hi Everyone, this is Helen!
Big Surprise, I am a german student on Bali with the GoBali programm. And I will share this little adventure with you the next weeks and am looking forword to what every day brings!
Now let me give you a little peek into what I felt and saw when I first came here. I decided to go to Bali as I wanted cultures, experiences, life and people beyond my imagination! Thank you Bali, you haven’t promised too much! 🙂
Here we go, my first impressions. Put that wonderful Kygo-Mix in your ears we all know and love and imagine the orange sunset, behind the salty ocean, which washes the sand between your toes. We ordered our first cocktail at La Plancha – an absolute must-do! – and had our first shisha. Oh yes, it sounds like holiday.. But it is not. This is home now. 🙂
The culture here constantly puts you in unknown situations, from scooter driving on the streets of Bali, its traffic, its food, the smell (sometimes nothing you need :D), the people, the mentality, the shopping, the living and much more, that will be discovered! 🙂
This one week has already taught me a lot about what the other side of the world is like. And there is a lot more to learn! Something I had a little trouble with, was the money and the changing rate. I mean, imagine, you can call yourself a millionaire with just 60€ on your bank account. Pretty impressive! We did have some situations which challenged us when trying to pay the bill, our money was spread all over the counter so we could switch on our math-brains to pay water and chips. But there is absolutely nothinh to worry about, all new-born millionaires can handle their money just within a few days! 😀
I travelled here with 3 other girls, gone through some little problems, but also breathtaking, funny and good moments. You will here from one of her in this Blog! 😀 Look forward to it!
We met lots of crazy and cool people and I bet every single one of them is looking forward and is keen to start their very own adventure!
This was it for today. A little bit of me, what to expect, what I expect and my first impression of where I am.
I am looking forward to what Bali has to offer and will enjoy sharing all of it with you!
Hope you come back & read! 😀
