Selamat datang and welcome to the North of Bali. The Udayana University is in the very South of Bali, where you can start to explore the island.
We got up very early to visit out chosen places to ensure we would be there without other tourists. Our first stop were the rice fields of the UNESO. During my time on Bali and Lombok I saw many rice fields and terraces, however they were different. We had a wonderful view over a large green area beneath a blue sky while the sun was shining. There was an idyllic silence over the whole scene, we enjoyed it very much.
Next up was the Git Git waterfall also known as the twin waterfall, where two waterfalls join into a wonderful scenery. We were once again the only tourists. We changed our clothes and went into the water for a cold swim. It was such a great experience!
Our next stop was at a Mini-zoo. We were allowed to take pictures with different exotic animals such as geckos, scorpions, bats or a luwak.
After lunch in an Indonesian restaurant, we visited a coffee and tea farm. We saw many different fruits and spices as well as cacao and coffee. After tasting a selection of tea and coffee we went into the shop to buy our favorites as a gift to bring home or just for us.
We drove back in the afternoon with many new impressions and experiences and arrived at home happy.
