today I’ve been to Padang Padang Beach. The beach is located in Ungasan Village, South Kuta District, so it’s about 15 minutes from our Villa in Jimbaran and very easy to reach. In my opinion, this beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali. At high tide, there is crystal clear water and it’s beautiful to go for a swim near the impressive rocks and cliffs sourrounding the beach. The waves aren’t that big, so even surfing beginners can have a try there. (I’m still way too bad but my pro surfer carreer is in progress…)
What I also really like about this place is when it’s low tide. You can walk about 100 meters besides the cliffs and discover some caves (even with bats!), find beautiful shells or just hang out in the flat water and enjoy the sun. But be careful, do not go into the water where you can’t stand anymore, the current can get pretty strong out there.
Another highlight about this place are the monkeys which come down to the beach in the afternoon. They normally live in the woods upon the beach. Luckily they are easy-going most of the time and just hang out on top of the rocks in good hope of getting some food. One time I saw them fighting a dog which was quite funny to watch. I like these guys…
On my way home, I stopped at a little restaurant near the beach. I chose a Balinese coffe and a pumpkin soup which was delicious! I’ll defenitly go there more often.
That was pretty much my day at the beach, best regards
