Getting around on the island and traveling to other islands is cheap, easy and fast.

Scooters and motorcycles are the most popular means of transport. With the scooter you are fast and independent. Rental scooters are available almost everywhere. Driving a motorcycle in Bali requires to wear a helmet.

Cars are becoming more and more popular. Cars are the safer but slower means of transport. It is also possible to rent cars daily or with driver. Specially for day trips around the island with a small group is this the perfect solution.

As Indonesia has around 17.800 islands, traveling by boat is quite famous. To closer islands like the Gillis or Nusa Lembongan you can take a speed boat. Boat trips to Flores and Komodo for a few days are also very popular among the students.

Flying in Indonesia is very common and affordable. Traveling within Indonesia by plane saves a lot of time, since most of the interesting places are just a few flight minutes away. And even other countries like Singapore or Thailand are just a few hours away.
